Another wine from St. Julien that caught our attention, this one is deep, ripe, curranty and full of Cabernet flavor. We also like Chateau Branaire-Ducru and Chateau Talbot from the same commune. The Cabernet based wines from the communes north of Bordeaux seemed to have fared extremely well. This wine and Branaire-Ducru rate 90 points and up while the Talbot should be a reasonable value, if its price does not escalate, in the 88-90 point range
