(2010 Vintage) Firm and muscular, with dense, rich dark berry, currant and blackberry fruit that's complex, layered and tannic, yet with a supple edge and a long finish of melted black licorice.
International Wine CellarRating: 89/100 - As reviewed by International Wine Cellar in Issue 120, May/June 2005 ($69) Good bright ruby-red. Liqueur-like aromas of roasted red fruits; a bit Chateauneuf-like. Fat, roasted flavors of red berries, complicated by notes of herbs and menthol and framed by slightly edgy acids. Finishes with dusty, somewhat drying tannins and a continuing note of menthol.
