(2002 Vintage) Time-honored techniques still prevail here. Grapes are manually harvested and sorted. The wine is fermented in oak vats and aged in Tronais oak barrels as for the first wine. In general, though, Pavillon Rouge is bottled three to four months earlier than Chteau Margaux.
