Its smooth and integrated mouthfeel make the wine light on its feet for such a complex, tannic and concentrated bottling. Dark cherries, violets and "sottobosco" combine to give this wine the fruit foundation that will sustain the huge tannins through a long life. The finish is bright and smooth, with ripe and full tannins, and ends long and smooth with notes of espresso, spices and cherries.
