Wine Description

(2002 Vintage) From each vintage we compose Magnificat, a red Meritage wine that best expresses the unique terroir of our Oakville Estate. Blending creates a harmonious wine which is ultimately more than each of its individual elements: Cabernet Sauvignon for structure, Merlot for suppleness, and Cabernet Franc for spice and aroma. Determining the exact composition of the final blend is an art form, making each vintage distinctive and unique. Appearance: Deep ruby red. Aroma: Cherry, black licorice, vanilla....

    (2005 Vintage) 73% Cabernet Sauvignon; 23% Merlot; 4% Bordelais reds. With decently focused cassis-like fruit as its central theme and accents of cocoa and sweet oak in support, this wine finds its full-bodied, supple texture set against decently fruited, somewhat coarsely grained impressions, and that slight edginess stays around until the finish. A bit of cellaring is needed.
