International Wine Cellar(2002 Vintage) Rating: 94/100 - As reviewed by International Wine Cellar in Issue 119, March/April 2005 ($550) Good deep red. Sappy black raspberry, strawberry, coffee and earth, complicated by roasted herbs and smoke. Broad and spicy but quite firm; less sweet and open today than the foregoing examples but primary and juicy. Finishes very long, though, with firm, building tannins. (My bottle of the Richebourg was a bit tired in the middle and almost certainly not representative.)

International Wine Cellar(2000 Vintage) Rating: 91(+?) - As reviewed by International Wine Cellar in Issue 107, March/April 2003 ($270) Full medium red. Pure, complex, perfumed aromas of violet, gunflint, minerals, spices and earth. Sweet but light on its feet, lifted by a note of menthol. Quite youthfully unevolved, but finishes with noteworthy persistence. Tannins are firm and dusty.
