Château Sénéjac Haut-Médoc Cru Bourgeois

Wine Details

Red Blend

Wine Description

(2011 Vintage) A clean, rich, savoury aromatic fruit profile here, with rich black cherry fruit. The palate is clean, bright and promising. The fruit seems well defined, the texture of the palate appropriate and well matched by the tannins sitting behind it all. There is also a fresh seam of defining acidity. This is an attractive wine which already displays a great deal of harmony. And on the finish, there is a flourish of tannin and fruit.

Majestic: Origin Sénéjac is one of the better known Crus Bourgeois of the Haut-Médoc. The wine is a blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Franc and is aged in oak barriques for 18 months. It represents great value for fans of mature claret as it ages so gracefully. Taste The 2002 offers copious amounts of sweet currant and cherry fruit with cedar and spice box. While neither flamboyant nor deep, it is a well-balanced, attractive effort.' Robert Parker 86 points.
