(2003 Vintage) The intense, deep purple-hued 2003 offers a big, sweet nose of blackberries, creme de cassis, creosote, coffee, and flowers. Full-bodied and opulent with low acidity, huge glycerin and flavor density, and a spectacularly long, flamboyant finish, this exotic, intense St.-Emilion reflects this interesting vintage.

Wine & Spirits(2006 Vintage) Bright medium ruby. Supperripe, porty aromas of blueberry, espresso and licorice. Deep, sexy and sweet, with ripe, densely packed flavors of crushed dark berries, licorice and spicy oak. Finishes with ripe, chewy tannins and sweet fruit. Not a subtle wine but offers a lot of flavor - not to mention considerable immediate appeal. (A second bottle of equal quality showed more perfumed lift to its blackberry, licorice and violet aromas and was distinctly less porty; the palate was a bit less weighty and more elegant.)
