  • Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wines
There are bound to be champions of the lighter, arguably elegant style of this bottling, but it could do with a little more breadth and fruity flesh on its bones. Although its muted mix of minerals, mild herbs and wild cherry qualities is easy to like, its inherent narrowness and slight clipping tannins leave it a scant step short or endorsement here.

Bright dark red. Cool aromas of raspberry, cherry, violet, minerals and licorice. Lively, fresh and perfumed, with fruit-driven flavors of raspberry, cherry and minerals. A juicy, stylish wine with delicacy of fruit and fine tannins. This could easily be mistaken for Burgundy
