80% Aglianico, 20% Piedirosso from Villa Matilde's hillside vineyard Croce Del Massico. The grapes are harvested after painstakingly eliminating any less than perfect bunches. Rich and complex with distinct perfumes of black cherries, prunes, nutmeg and vanilla, with hints of violet. The aftertaste lingers on with the smell of sagebrush & blackberries mixed with cocoa.
