(2007 Vintage) The rich and complex aromas are accentuated by the natural ripeness of our grapes with hints of red apple, wild strawberries, golden apple and apricot, as well as spicy tones of roasted nuts, white chocolate and honeysuckle. On the palate, it is an explosion of berry flavors, with layers of fresh fig, cherry and vanilla beans, underlined by a refreshing acidity. The lasting finish is dominated by biscuit, toast and nutty flavors.
92 POINTS-WINE SPECTATOR, 94 POINTS-WINE ENTHUSIAST. This prestigious tete de cuvee honors the visionary work of Guy Devaux. The 2001 DVX offers a brilliant golden-yellow hue with a gentle stream of tiny bubbles. As is the tradition with DVX, this release is complex, rich and nicely balanced. Toasted brioches with a hint of oak spice greet you on the nose, followed by green apple, ripe freestone peaches and fresh rasberry on the palate. Enjoy a lovely vanilla creaminess on the mid palate that ends with a lingering, refreshing finish.
92 Points. Asian pear, toasty spice and Liam layered with lemon curd, hazelnut and brioche flavors that balance crisp acidity with a luscious texture. Drink now through 2014. Pair with oysters rockefeller, crab cakes and baked Brie.
