The Liberty School Chardonnay is a luminous pale-green color. The wine opens with aromas of green apple and lemon zest complemented by tropical notes of pineapple, coconut and mango. The wine's vivacious acidity makes an impact upon entry, while its creamy texture and rich flavors of green apple, blood orange, guava and toasted almonds fill the palate. The finish is clean an crisp.
Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wines(2004 Vintage) Limited in volume and limited in range, this meager effort aligns its truncated fruit with a distinct vegetative element reminiscent of dried flower stalks. Lean and citrusy with a bothersome bitter edge rising towards the finish, this one has little to like now and nowhere to go in the future.
