2001 Grgich Hills Estate Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley

Winemaker's Notes

(From 2011 Vintage) Our Cabernet is rich with aromas of balsamic glazed figs, dried rose petals and a touch of green peppercorns. Smooth and rich on the palate with a persistent finish, this wine is the perfect partner with grilled steak, rack of lamb or roasted duck.

(From 2000 Vintage) 8% Merlot; 2% Cabernet Franc. If long on the sweeter, vanillin, almost root-beer-like elements of very creamy oak, this graceful, medium-dense Cabernet comes with plenty of engaging, easy-to-taste fruit working in its favor and is focused on currants and ripe black cherries throughout.
