(2005 Vintage) This wine's underlying solidity is the platform upon which its dry, well-oaked, ripe character is perched. It is a bit of a high-wire act for now in that the wine is not particularly at the top of its game today and requires a fair bit of faith it will maintain vitality and find greater openness at its heart when it tames down some years hence. The risk is obvious, but so also is its rich potential.
