A wine of infinite finesse, it displays the hallmark Barbaresco nose of forest fruits, plums, licorice and tar. Known for its dense structure, full body and a complex finish rich in silky tannins.
(From 2003 Vintage) That combines expressive aromatics, the ripeness of the vintage and classic structure, it is an awesome effort. Though it offers plenty of super-ripe fruit and notable concentration, it never comes across as being heavy and displays exceptional overall balance.
