(From 2010 Vintage) Moderate wood works with the softly spicy and distinctly earthy red berry fruit aromas where a hint of crushed herbs surfaces. The supporting tannins are really quite fine and the mouth feel is definitely on the refined side because of it, particularly on the seductively textured but firm finish that delivers excellent length.
Good full, deep red. Aromatic nose combines currant, cherry, leather, iron and smoky oak. Sweet and silky, with lovely intensity. Doesn't offer the floral personality of the Chaumes but has good stuff...
