(2012 Vintage) Waves of tropical-inflected fruit, lemon oil, white flowers, mint, honey and popcorn take center stage in the 2012 Montrachet. Although there was no botrytis that year, the 2012 is all about power, opulence and voluptuousness. Compelling in its interplay of flavors and textures, the 2012 Montrachet is simply dazzling.

wow. started at 11c and drank through to 14. started with lighter in color but darkens slowly to a deeper golden hue - looking very much like a sauternes. with legs to follow. the taste on entry throws you off with so many flavors and continues to develop in the mouth. showing all qualities of a mature wine but also youth, even at 14 years old. once in lifetime experience!
