2001 Château Moulin Haut-Laroque Fronsac

Wine Description

(From 2012 Vintage) The nose of the 2012ers Moulin Haut Laroque is clearly dominated by black cherry and ripe plum. Clear traces of sea buckthorn and blackthorn. Lots of dark cherry, blackberry. Dark Earth, also black chocolates. Fine, tasty Provencal herbs beside it. Lush and yet very fine fruit. Here we have an unusually mild yet rich substance of wine in front of us. Fine Woven, playful and yet spicy substance. Final but more a Finessewein, because a massive wine.

Winemaker's Notes

(From 2010 Vintage) Juicy and nicely packed, with a succulent core of plum, blackberry and crushed black cherry framed by slightly austere charcoal and tobacco leaf notes. Racy acidity drives the finish.
