Wine Details

Wine Description

(1996 Vintage) "...notes of charcoal, jammy cassis, raspberries, and a touch of sur-maturite. Spicy oak emerges as the wine sits in the glass. It is fat, concentrated, and medium to full-bodied, with a layered, multidimensional, highly nuanced personality...93." WA 4/99.

(1995 Vintage) Rating: 5/5 - As reviewed by Decanter. Ripe nose, with leathery, mature and spicy fruit notes. Rich, unctuous fruit on the palate.
  • Decanter
(1999 Vintage) Rating: 4/5 - As reviewed by Decanter. One of the vintage's sturdiest Pomerols, freighted down with dark liquorice, cinnamon and tobacco, and with more fiery black fruits than many.
