  • Robert Parker
(1998 Vintage) "A masculine, powerful, structured effort, the 1998 does not possess the tell-tale opulence this estate has produced over recent vintages. Forceful, with outstanding concentration, moderately high tannin, and a formidable style; this dense, concentrated Clerc-Milon requires 2-4 years of cellaring; it should keep for 12-20 years."

(2003 Vintage) "Loads of licorice and currants follow through to a full-bodied palate, with lots of refined tannins and a long, long finish. This is very structured and layered. Beauty. Better than the 2000. Best after 2010. 8,330 cases made."
