This 2000 Columbia Valley "old vines" cabernet sauvignon is produced from 100% Champoux vineyard which was initially plants in the early 1970's. The long, warm growing season gave a beautiful red wine of great balance and proportion, but with a level of richness that is typically seen only in the warmer vintages such as 1998 or 2000.     (2005 Vintage) "The 2005 Old Vines is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from the Champoux Vineyard (the principal source of the Quilceda Creek Cabernet). It was aged for 20 months in 100% new French oak. Opaque purple, it offers up aromas of pain grille, pencil lead, violets, vanilla, black currant, and blackberry liqueur.
