(2000 Vintage) An internationally-styled, super Tuscan blend of Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, this wine's dense aromas of cassis and black stone fruit are offset by notes of herbs, spice and sweet oak which carry onto a ripe palate marked by firm tannic structure. "Refined red. Dark-colored, showing intense aromas of crushed fruit, toasted oak and dried flowers. Full-bodied, with fine tannins and a long, caressing finish. Needs time to show its true potential." Wine Spectator 92 Points
Robert Parker(2010 Vintage) The 2010 Sette Ponte is drop dead gorgeous. Tar licorice, incense, plums and graphite jump from the glass in a wine that impresses for it's nuance, delineation and sheer class. The tannins are firm, but also beautifully balanced. Readers should give the 2010 a few years in bottle to come around, but even today, the wine's balance is utterly impeccable. This is a great showing from Sette Ponti. Drink 2017 through 2030.
