Stephen Tanzer's International Wine CellarBright medium ruby. Slightly rustic aromas of currant, game, smoke and leather. Fat, sweet, generous and mouthfilling; warm and full but with good verve. Finishes with considerable structure and grip, as well as sneaky persistence. Shows little obvious sign of the 50% new oak. (Robert Chadderdon Selections, New York, NY)
