(1995 Vintage) Ruby-red color. Sappy, crystallized black raspberry, blueberry, minerals and camphor on the rather cool nose. Brutally backward and folded in on itself; actually rather creamy in the middle but astringent around the edges. A tough wine in need of a decade or more of aging. Finishes quite tannic, with a note of leafy cabernet franc. Showed more sweetness and texture after 24 hours in the open bottle. A throwback style of Pomerol, yet it does not appear to offer the flamboyant ripeness and rusticit...

(2001 Vintage) Rating: 5/5 - As reviewed by Decanter. Extraordinary colour. Such a spicy nose, with such huge, healthy fruit. Totally mouthfilling, with all that glossy fruit. So generous and so beautifully ripe. Mega-impressive. Ready 2010-2020. (Tasted en primeur)
