2000 Moët & Chandon Champagne Imperial Brut

Winemaker's Notes

Twenty wines have been blended by oenologists to convey the characteristics of the 1993 grape harvest, and to create this full-bodied and authentic wine. The generosity of this assemblage built on its delicacy and vivacity is revealed by its aging in the cellar. 83229

(From NV Vintage) Yellow-gold with a faint peach skin tinge. Peach, nectarine and spun sugar on the nose. Lush, creamy flavors of sweet pit fruits and melon are deepened by notes of honey and nougat. A touch of orange peel lifts this sappy, off-dry wine, which finishes on a slightly syrupy note. This is easier to drink and less cloying than many examples of sweet Champagne.
