Wine Description

The warm 2000 Vintage gave us a Le Vigne Barolo with soaring aromatics of blackcurrants, cola and flowers, with a generous, open palate of ripe and defined fruit, restrained acidity and surprisingly full tannins, which are just now softening significantly. The mouthfeel is one of pure generosity; all fruit, with open arms and heart, reined in by freshness and ripe tannins. Finishes long and mineral, with vanilla notes.

(2004 Vintage) Good full ruby-red. Explosive, vibrant aromas of blackberry, sandalwood and musky tobacco. A very suave, juicy wine with superb cut to its black plum, blackberry and licorice flavors. Hardly an outsized wine, but its sappy acidity and smooth, broad tannins give this elegant Barolo excellent structural support.
