Wine Description

(2012 Vintage) This is soft and pretty with currant and berry character and hints of wet earth. Full body, with fine tannins and a fresh and lively finish. Refined and beautiful. Juicy and long. Sweet fruit in the center palate.

Dark purple color turning violet at the rim with a rich berry, bramble and cola on the nose. The palate is full but wonderfully balanced with bright acidity yet generous on flavors of currant, plum, and kirsch with hints of leather, herbs de Provence, and seductive Margaux earth. Very rounded texture up to the mid palate, then slightly grips with soft tannin towards the long, enchanting finish with hints of tobacco. This is an amazing wine, and one of the best coming from this appellation. Drink now until 2020.

Drank with Vickie Beuerle. Incredibly good and typical Margaux. Great nose of truffles and earth, forest floor. Very smooth and elegant wine, what a treat.

(2003 Vintage) "The noteworthy, classic Margauxs from this estate remain under most consumers` radar. Displaying low acidity and a forward style, the exotic 2003 is undeniably fragrant, complex, and sexy. Its dark ruby/purple color is followed by sumptuous aromas of truffles, underbrush, plums, cassis, and a hint of figs. The tannin is sweet, and the texture is multilayered. This full-bodied, chewy, round, sensual Margaux should evolve gracefully for 15+ years. Bravo!" 92 Points - Robert Parker"Plenty of blac...

(2008 Vintage) "An amazing success in this vintage, the dark ruby/purple-hued 2008 reveals its noble terroir in its complex aromatics of spring flowers and burning embers/charcoal. A medium to full-bodied mouthfeel displaying no hard edges and a seamless integration of acidity, tannin, alcohol and wood result in an approachable, already evolved wine that can be drunk now or cellared for 15+ years."
