Chateau Larrivet Haut Brion Pessac Léognan Blanc
(2009 Vintage) From an assemblage of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, the wine opens with scents of oak, cassis and red berries. Medium bodied, with some dryness in the tannins, this will need time before it becomes fun to drink.
DecanterRating: 4/5 - As reviewed by Decanter. Fine pale yellow, lovely ripe Sauvignon nose with quite a bit of oak, fatter and fleshier on palate due to Semillon, oak quite marked but will blend in, lovely ripe flavours, very fine, attractive wine. Ready 2003-2010.(tasted en primeur)
Wine Spectator"Very ripe fruit on the nose, with hints of tobacco and cedar. Full-bodied, with big, chewy tannins, yet soft and luscious. Best after 2007."
