Wine Description

(From 2004 Vintage) The 2004 is a very seductive wine, displaying aromas of cassis, black cherries, pomegranite and cedary oak. Medium bodied and boasting soft ripe tannins.

Winemaker's Notes

"Big, juicy wine. Intensely grapey. Gushing with fruit. Full-bodied and chewy. Smoky and gamy. Armailhac gets better and better."

The Wine-Searcher score of 88/100 is calculated from the following wine critic scores: Critic Score When to drink Wine Spectator 90/100 CellarTracker 89/100 (81 notes) Stephen Tanzer 89/100 Jean Marc Quarin 88/100 Jancis Robinson 16.5/20 2010 to 2018 Bettane et Desseauve 16/20 2010 to 2020 Decanter 4/5 2008 to 2020 Very good deep velvety colour, ripe Cabernet fruit but showing a rather firm edge, needs to gain richness to be as attractive as previous vintages, but good quality.
