  • Robert Parker
(1998 Vintage) A blend of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon and 35% Merlot, this classic, austerely-styled Medoc exhibits medium to full body, true breed as well as class, and excellent aromas of subtle herbs, cedar, cassis, and new wood. Rich, medium to full-bodied, sweet on the attack, and moderately tannic, it will benefit from 4-5 more years of cellaring. Anticipated maturity: 2006-2018.
  • Wine Spectator
(1985 Vintage) "Broad, rich and concentrated with loads of ripe plum, currants, and earth, woven together in a full, gentle style. The nose offers a bouquet of cedar and fruit and the flavors spread out on the palate and linger on the finish."
  • Tanzer
(1996 Vintage) "Full red-ruby. Explosive aromas of boysenberry juice, espresso and smoky oak. Thick and lush, with terrific volume in the mouth; harmonious acidity gives the flavors clarity and brightness. Very long, sweet finish."
