Winemaker's Notes

(From 2008 Vintage) COLOR: Dark cherry color with violet reflections. Clean and bright wine with a high robe. Dense and very slow-falling tears. NOSE: Clean and very intense nasal aromas which show a good balance between the intense notes of ripe red and black fruit and the nice toasted notes, which progressively turn into roasted aromas. Abundant spicy nuances (vanilla, nutmeg, pepper) are noticed along with some good notes of tobacco and leather and a subtle mineral hint. FLAVOR: Powerful and embracing attack. It shows a good load of fruit notes, well integrated notes of wood and some spicy hints. Its mid palate is tasty, fleshy and expressive. Sweet, polished and unctuous tannins and a good acidity. Great structure. Long and persistent finish.
