(From 1999 Vintage) The beautiful 1999 Mouton Rothschild may be a modern day clone of their 1962 or 1985. Its saturated ruby/purple color is followed by sumptuous aromas of cedar wood, creme de cassis, wood smoke, coffee, and dried herbs. The wine is forward, lush, and full-bodied. It is already complex as well as succulent, fleshy, and long.
(From 1988 Vintage) Very pretty aromas of vanilla, tobacco, berry and chocolate. Medium- to full-bodied, with soft tannins and a berry, chocolate finish.
Decanter(From 1987 Vintage) Rating: 0/5 - As reviewed by Decanter. Deep plum red; sweet oaky nose; medium-bodied, soft, oaky, easy tannins, polished, reasonable depth of flavour, well judged oak, could do with more concentration; medium length.
Decanter(From 1994 Vintage) Rating: 0/5 - As reviewed by Decanter. Very deep red; hefty new oak nose, opulent fruit, classic; very rich, sleek, has good concentration and depth, hefty tannins and a bit chunky, but not without elegance; good length, tannic finish.
