(2000 Vintage) Rating: 89-91 - As reviewed by International Wine Cellar in Issue 102, May/June 2002 Deep red. Sappy spices lift the aromas of redcurrant, minerals, flowers, tar and tobacco; quite claret-like on the nose. Then rich, lush and sweet, but with more obvious spine than the Estate 2000. Slightly high-toned flavors of redcurrant, cedar, herbs, tar and tobacco. Finishes with fairly fine-grained tannins but is not yet showing the grip of the '99 example.
