(1999 Vintage) "The magnificent dark ruby-colored 1999 Cabernet Sauvignon is a winemaking tour de force. A blend of 97% Cabernet Sauvignon and 3% Merlot, its bouquet can best be described as syrup of Cabernet Sauvignon. Intensely sweet blackberry, cassis liqueur, cherry, and blueberry jam aromas burst from the glass.     (2005 Vintage) Good deep red-ruby; this seemed to gain in color in the glass. Much less open on the nose than the 2004, hinting at currant, minerals, graphite and nutty oak. Densely packed and rather powerful, with blacker fruit flavors than the 2004. This finishes with a firmer tannic spine. Paul Golitzin noted that the family's 2005s are more powerful wines than their comparatively lush 2004s due in large part to smaller berry size. They'll need longer aging, he said-"maybe the longest ever!"

    (1999 Vintage) Full red-ruby. Highly nuanced nose combines sappy black raspberry, black cherry, spicy oak, loam and menthol, plus hints of meat and maple syrup. Offers a compelling combination of sweetness and grip. The lush palate is spicy but shapely and nicely delineated; not yet complex but already exudes lovely inner-mouth perfume.
