Wine Details

Wine Description

(From 2011 Vintage) Offering up layers of black raspberry, powdered rock, chocolate, roasted meats and graphite, it flows onto the palate with full-bodied richness, solid mid-palate depth and masses of fine tannin that are sweet and polished.

Winemaker's Notes

(From 2007 Vintage) Opaque purple. Captivating aromas of boysenberry, dark cherry, pepper, spices, cocoa powder and smoky minerality. Then intense and penetrating in the mouth, with brilliantly fresh dark berry and kirsch flavors lifted by notes of cinnamon and star anise. Finishes pungent and impressively long, with a palate-saturating whiplash of dark berry and spice flavors.

Splurge wine. This was fantastic and epitomizes syrah. Complex nose of dark fruits, minerals, game, herbs and bramble. Perfectly balanced with a complex, sharp finish. Pairs well with simple red meat preparations, pizza, salumi, lightly sauces pastas. Buy if you find. Will end up on your list of memorable wine experiences.
