Wine Details

Wine Description

(2000 Vintage) The spring was mild and damp until mid-May. After a month of dry and hot June, July proved quite rainy again (69 mm). There followed a long period of drought that began July 27 to last until the end of the harvest. If wet spring is synonymous with high pressure of late blight in the early growing season, heading flowering was went smoothly thanks to the return of dry weather as of May 17 The drought in August and September marked a growth stops early (mid-August) favorable to a good start of the maturation of the grapes. This continued in the best conditions thanks to the good weather of the autumn season. The berries mature presented a remarkable balance, a particularly important wealth in sugars and anthocyanins despite weighing slightly higher than in bays 98 and 99. The quality of the grapes showed homogeneous on the whole domain. Despite the quality of homogeneity, severe selection was made to ensure the excellence of the 2000 vintage.

Great balance. Tobacco finish. Complex and good with food.
