(From 2005 Vintage) An exceptional wine, of notable complexity and finesse. Rich, deep red in color, with flavors of prune, blackcurrant and tobacco leaf, as well as a hint of truffle. In the mouth the wine is rich and generous, but balanced by good acidity which gives it the long finish so characteristic of Fieuzal's very best vintages.
Blend: 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, 5% Petit Verdot
Decanter(From 2001 Vintage) Rating: 3/5 - As reviewed by Decanter. Very deep, concentrated colour, very rich on the glass. Concentrated cassis/tobacco nose and shows new oak and quite high percentage of leafy Cabernet fruit. Big, even chunky on the palate, robust and concentrated, a complete contrast to Domaine de Cheval
Wine Spectator(From 1986 Vintage) Rating: 90/100 - As reviewed by Wine Spectator on 06/30/89.
