Vina Almaviva Puente Alto

Wine Description

(From 2003 Vintage) Very dense, with loads of raspberry ganache, black currant and fig fruit layered with loam, tobacco, mineral and cedar notes. Lots of grip on the finish, with impressive balance between the tannins, acidity and oak. Built like a Pauillac.

Winemaker's Notes

This classic Bordeaux-blend from Philippe de Rothschild and Concha y Toro is the first wine from Chile to challenge seriously the finest that France has to offer. Immensely rich with striking blackcurrant flavours, a firm tannic structure and a long, long finish. Drink from now through 2010.
