Wine Description

(1998 Vintage) Using fruit from the Raymond estate vineyards in St. Helena and Jameson Canyon, this wine is a blend of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. Showing soft smooth texture and classic Merlot flavors, the wine is fresh and open, with notes of fruit, oak and earthiness. Possessing a pleasantly crisp finish, it will pair nicely with grilled tuna or swordfish, grilled and broiled poultry, spicy sausages, veal, pork, and beef.

    (2004 Vintage) Light to medium in volume and relatively low in fruit compared to the leafy, dried bean notes that come first in the aromas, this one has Merlot feel at the front of the palate before becoming increasingly coarse and dry towards the back. Merlot is supposed to be friendly; this one is not.
