Quivira Sauvignon Blanc

Wine Details

Winemaker's Notes

Fig Tree Vineyard signifies an authentic taste of place: the definitive expression of Sauvignon Blanc from Quiviras estate vineyard. The grapes possess characteristic citrus and melon flavors and silky texture, well-suited to the creamy richness of our French oak barrels. Since 1983, Quiviras sigular style of Sauvignon Blanc has evolved, resulting in this ultimate Sauvignon Blanc from Dry Creek Valley. Pair with: seafood, poultry, and light pasta fare.

  • Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wines
(From 2005 Vintage) Elements of melons and fresh figs combine with a light wisp of sweet oak and subtle notes of grass in the complex and nicely composed aromas of this wholly engaging effort, and its fairly deep flavors follow right in step. If fleshy and full on the palate, it is still entirely refined in manner, and its overall balance and sense of restraint make it an ideal choice for service with a wide range of white-fleshed fish preparations.
