International Wine CellarRating: 89/100 - As reviewed by International Wine Cellar in Issue 96, May/June 2001 Good deep red-ruby. Tarry blackcurrant, lead pencil, coffee, cedar and earth on the nose. Suave and intensely flavored, with firm acids giving shape to the flavors. Not as fat or ripe as the '97, but concentrated for the year. Finishes with firm-edged tannins and very good length.
