The Penfolds St Henri style is a dramatic contrast to Penfolds Grange. St Henri is pure, unadorned Shiraz, virtually alone among high-quality Australian reds in that it has never relied on new oak. Wow! What a wine! After decanting for 2 hours the nose had hints of menthol with some red fruits. It's palate was silky smooth, almost velvety. Lovely and soft with beautiful fruit throughout. Has held up well and looks to go on for a while still.
