(From 1999 Vintage) At 13 years old, shows only the slightest hint of bricking on the edge of the glass. With air, aromas of black cherry, tar and black tea leaves emerge, with leather, rose and mineral notes. On the palate, this wine shows a suprisingly round character even though 1999 has always been among the most tannic and structured vintages of the last 20 years. Lovely fruit of black cherries and forest berries (frutti di bosco) are wrapped around a frame of firm yet very ripe tannins.
