(1998 Vintage) Very delicate on the nose, red and black berry fruit and that classic hint of forest floor rusticity. Much more forward on the palate than the nose would suggest, the acidity comes to the fore, but don't let that put you off as it certainly doesn't feal out of balance with the warming dark cassis fruit coupled with a smooth velvety structure, surpriginsly intense given the nose and a superb length.
