(From 1995 Vintage) An unqualified sleeper of the vintage, the opaque purple-colored 1995 Grand-Mayne displays a sweet, creamy, black raspberry-scented nose with subtle notes of smoky, toasty oak. Both powerful and elegant, this wine exhibits layers of richness, nicely integrated acidity and tannin, and an impressive full-bodied, long finish.

Displays aromatics of black raspberries, minerals, licorice, and vanillin. In the mouth, the wine has taken on more tannin than it revealed early last spring, but it still possesses copious quantities of black fruits, medium body, and a pure, clean rich finish.Grand Mayne 1998 is in the Wine Spectator's Top 100 wines...
