Winemaker's Notes

Deep ruby/garnet coloured wine with intense developed nose of stalky blackcurrant fruits and mellow cedarwood tones. Dry with firm tannin structure, mellowing well into the fruit, lovely structure and body with lots of fruit support, excellent length and balance. St. Estephe is perhaps the best place among the great Bordeaux communes to search for real bargains. There is more clay in the soil here, so Merlot is more prevalent than elsewhere in the Medoc.
