1998 Château d'Armailhac Pauillac Grand Cru Classé

Wine Description

(From 2004 Vintage) The 2004 is a very seductive wine, displaying aromas of cassis, black cherries, pomegranite and cedary oak. Medium bodied and boasting soft ripe tannins.

Winemaker's Notes

(From 2004 Vintage) "Wonderful aromas of raspberry and currant. Full-bodied, with refined, silky tannins and a long aftertaste. Beautiful and tender. Best after 2009."Wine Spectator 90 pointsMouton continues to improve on this neighboring property just to the south, where it's created a delicious 2004. The texture is succulent and velvet-soft, the flavors black, shot through with a brighter red-berry aroma. It's juicy and ready to drink with steak frites; this should grow more complex over the next several years....
