Burklin-Wolf Gaisbohl

Wine Details

Winemaker's Notes

A 14-acre monopole producing the most consistently concentrated and elegant wines on the estate. Gaisböhl is dry white wine's equivalent to the 'iron fist in a velvet glove' with enveloping softness covering a firm, mineral core in the manner of top Burgundy. Gravelly soils predominate, keeping the wine fresh and apparently delicate in spite of natural alcohol in excess of 13%. The 1998 is elegant and clear.
