Very good after 3 hour decanting. Excellent with fine meats, Italian cuisine.
buoyant nose following through the finish. robust and fresh, despite bring 12 yrs old. a real charmer. 01/15 Ola No decant straight from bottle. Surprisingly very different from decanted. Much more balanced in the front.
Robert Parker(2001 Vintage) El Pison is a 100% Tempranillo cuvee produced from a single vineyard planted in 1945. The soil is pure limestone, yields are a lowly 18-22 hectoliters per hectare, and the wine is aged for 18-24 months in French oak. The potentially perfect 2001 El Pison has more of everything. While it possesses an extraordinary flavor intensity, it remains light on its feet.
