(1977 Vintage) Ranked among the world's greatest wines. Rich structure, concentrated flavors, extensive aging potential.Bottled after less than 2 years in oak, declared in the most outstanding years. Will mature and evolve in bottle for decades. Decanting is required.
International Wine Cellar(2003 Vintage) Bright saturated ruby. Captivating aromas of blackberry, kirsch, licorice and candied violet. Dense, concentrated and sweet, with primary dark fruit flavors enlivened by firm but ripe acidity. Complicating notes of pepper and herbs. Very nicely delineated, fine-grained wine, finishing with broad tannins. I'd give this a good ten years in the cellar.
